LEADING EDGE - 6mm radius balsa nose block, 5mm wide, full chordwise depth - 0.3mm Kevlar strip cap on outer 20mm, wrapped over nose - Scarf joint 1:8 to rib cap strip at rib 1 SPAR (main load path) - Carbon tube, 14mm OD x 1.2mm wall, axis at (142, +5) (spar center = 41.8% chord) - Carbon unidirectional caps: 18mm wide x 2.0mm thick belts, glued top and bottom of tube, centers at (142, +13) and (142, -3) - Caps carry bending, tube carries shear/torsion - Shear web: 1.0mm balsa, vertical grain, glued between caps, full span, depth 18mm RIBS - 1.6mm medium balsa (110-130 kg/m3), full MH-60 contour - Lightened with 20mm holes at 40%, 50%, 60% chord, min 7mm web remaining to surface - 8mm x 2mm balsa gusset each side at spar junction - Rib cap strips: 4mm x 1.5mm balsa on upper and lower surface - Dihedral break at STA 1050: 4deg, 120mm carbon joiner stub, 10mm OD, inserted 60mm each side TRAILING EDGE - 5mm balsa strip, taper 3mm at STA 0 -> 1mm at (340, 0) - 0.5mm ply reinforcer, 12mm wide, top surface at root rib only COVERING - 19 micron heat-shrink film, glued to cap strips only - 0.5mm air gap between film and rib caps (no drumming)
