The prompt
On the cPlane using the ‘Solid Creation’ ‘Box’ tool create your solid volume measuring (50,30,70). 4. Elsewhere on the cPlane create another solid with any of the solid creation tools. The size of this solid only matters in relation to the original volume. If it doesn’t feel right, delete it and start again. 5. Using the Gumball, position the newly created solid in relation to the original volume, where you want to make your subtraction. You will need to switch between different orthogonal views (Top, Front, Right, Left) in order to precisely position and/or rotate the solid. 6. When you are happy with the position use the Boolean Difference tool to subtract the new solid from the original solid. Select the original solid first (hit enter) select the carving solid (hit enter). 7. Repeat steps 4-6 with other solid forms. If necessary you can 1D scale forms with the Gumball tool as shown in the video. 8. When you are satisfied with the ‘figuration’ of your void, use the Clipping Plane tool to reveal the interior of your solid. Notice how you can Move and Rotate the Clipping Plane to view different aspects of the construct. You will want to render out the views you find most interesting. 9. Select the ‘Rendered’ viewing style and output several images of each construct compiling them into a single PDF to post in the Gallery.
