The prompt
## Forge CAD prompt – handheld retro music player Design a compact, premium-looking handheld MP3 player with a 70 × 100 × 18–20 mm target enclosure. Overall design - Portrait-oriented rectangular cuboid with rounded corners. - Minimalist retro hi-fi aesthetic, inspired by premium brushed aluminium audio equipment. - Silver metallic finish, dark screen bezel and subtle detailing. - Slim, pocketable construction with no unnecessary bulk. - Two-piece enclosure: front shell and removable rear cover. Front - 2.4-inch, 240 × 320 SPI TFT display, positioned centrally. - Five physical buttons beneath the screen: - Previous track - Next track - Menu - Back - Auxiliary button (function undecided) - Buttons should be slightly recessed or protected against accidental presses. Rotary encoder – important design change - Position the EC11 rotary encoder at the top-right corner on the rear face, behind the screen. - Design a small, ergonomic recess around it so the user's thumb naturally rests on the knob when holding the player. - Use a low-profile, textured metallic knob. - Do not place the knob on the front face or use the previous bottom-left corner cut-out design. - Ensure sufficient internal clearance for the encoder and its mounting. Internal components\ Design space for: - ESP32-WROOM-32 DevKit V1 - 2.4-inch TFT display - MicroSD reader - PCM5102 DAC - EC11 rotary encoder - Five tactile push buttons - IP5306 battery module - 3.7 V LiPo battery - Perfboard-based wiring Sides - Accessible 3.5 mm AUX port. - USB charging/programming port. - Physical power switch. Construction - Target 18–20 mm total thickness. - Use internal mounting posts and screw bosses. - Include a removable rear panel for maintenance. - Protect and secure the battery. - Keep the ESP32 antenna clear of metal and other components. - Position the DAC close to the AUX connection. - Allow access to the microSD card. Important CAD requirements - Do not invent component dimensions. Use actual measurements or clearly marked placeholders. - Check for component collisions, cable clearance and assembly access. - Prioritise a compact internal arrangement before finalising the exterior. - Produce an isometric assembly view, front view, rear view, side views and an exploded assembly view. Design priority: A slim, premium, portrait-oriented music player with a front screen, five physical buttons and a rear upper-right thumb-operated rotary encoder.
