The prompt

Design a compact, single-piece, parametric needle-angle guide for a biomedical phantom experiment. The device must rest directly on the phantom and be printable in white PLA. It is used for controlled-angle testing, not unrestricted dynamic movement. Functional concept: - The needle is inserted from above through one fixed entry point. - The entry point never moves. - After insertion, the external needle shaft is gently pushed left or right into one of four short open notches. - Use only these angles: 0°, 5°, 10°, and 15°. - Do not create negative angles. - The 15° notch is an extreme/reference position; the main range is 0–10°. Angle geometry: - Use reference height H = 28 mm between the entry-point plane and the notch-contact level. - Calculate notch positions with: x = H × tan(angle) - Required offsets from the 0° notch: - 0° = 0.00 mm - 5° = 2.45 mm - 10° = 4.94 mm - 15° = 7.50 mm Rail/notch design: - Create a train-rail-style ridge with four short rounded U-shaped notches. - Notches must be open from above. - Do not use closed loops, tubes, tunnels, or long needle channels. - The needle must move between notches using gentle lateral pressure. - Initial needle diameter: 1.30 mm. - Initial notch opening: approximately 1.65 mm. - Round or chamfer all needle-contact edges. Support structure: - Do not use columns, pillars, or suspended rails. - Use one continuous wedge-shaped or tent-shaped body that rises directly from the flat base to the notch ridge. - The entire body must rest directly on the phantom. Entry point: - Create one circular through-hole in the base. - Initial hole diameter: 2.0 mm. - Add a shallow 3.2 mm top funnel/counterbore. Marker: - Add one small fixed multi-face marker shield beside the 0° notch. - It must not move with the needle. - Initial size: 5.8 mm bottom, 3.8 mm top, approximately 6 mm high. - Keep it outside the needle movement path. Base: - Initial size: 28 × 22 × 2.4 mm. - Flat bottom with shallow tape recesses. - Rounded or chamfered external corners. Print requirements: - One watertight solid. - White PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers. - Minimum wall thickness 1.2 mm. - Avoid supports where possible. Export: - STL - STEP - PNG showing front, side, top, and isometric views. - In the PNG only, show a sample needle inserted from above and resting in the 10° notch. - Do not include the needle or phantom in the printable model.
