یک میله مستطیلی مسطح (flat bar) با ابعاد زیر مدل کن: - عرض کلی (w): 40 mm - ضخامت (t): 5 mm - طول کلی: 200 mm - در وسط طول میله، از دو طرف (بالا و پایین) یک شیار نیم‌دایره‌ای متقارن (semi-circular notch) با شعاع r = 4 mm ایجاد کن - عمق میله در محل شیار (d) پس از کسر دو شیار برابر 32 mm باشد (یعنی d = w - 2r اگر شیار فقط تا عمق r بریده شود؛ در غیر این صورت d را طبق نسبت w/d مورد نظر از نمودار مشخص کن) - هندسه باید متقارن حول محور طولی و محور عرضی در محل شیار باشد - خروجی را به‌صورت مدل solid سه‌بعدی (extrude شده به اندازه ضخامت t) تولید کن - فرمت خروجی: Abaqus input file (.inp) یا در صورت عدم پشتیبانی مستقیم، STEP (.step) برای ایمپورت به Abaqus/CAE
