The prompt
# Essential Pocket Communicator — Parametric CAD Brief Create a detailed parametric 3D enclosure assembly for a compact handheld communication device named Essential. ## Industrial design Use the supplied reference image as the primary visual reference. The device should resemble a modern handheld gaming console, with: - Matte graphite-black finish. - Rounded rectangular enclosure. - Large square touchscreen in the upper half. - Physical D-pad on the lower left. - Four ABXY buttons on the lower right. - Circular Essential home button in the centre. - Two small function buttons below the home button. - Analog thumb joystick near the bottom left. - Speaker grille near the bottom right. ## Initial dimensions - Height: 145 mm - Width: 88 mm - Depth: 19 mm - Display: 4-inch square touchscreen - Front bezel: approximately 3 mm - Enclosure wall thickness: 2 mm - Internal clearance: 1 mm minimum, subject to component dimensions. ## Camera - Rear autofocus camera module near the upper rear. - LED flash adjacent to camera. - Small front camera opening above the display. ## Assembly Generate separate parametric components: 1. Front housing. 2. Rear housing. 3. Internal mounting frame. 4. Display retention bracket. 5. D-pad. 6. ABXY buttons. 7. Home button. 8. Function buttons. 9. Joystick cap and housing. 10. Speaker grille. ## Engineering requirements - Design for FDM 3D printing using PETG. - Use M2 screws and heat-set inserts. - Include PCB mounting standoffs. - Include USB-C access. - Include antenna clearance. - Include internal cable routing. - Avoid unsupported overhangs where possible. - Keep the rear panel removable. ## Deliverables - Editable parametric CAD. - Separate STEP files for each component. - Complete assembly. - STL files for 3D printing. - Dimensioned front, side and rear drawings. Important: Do not invent PCB dimensions. Keep mounting locations parametric until actual hardware measurements are supplied.
