Valve Type: 6" nominal diameter Triple Offset Valves, suitable for continuous service with superheated steam.Actuator Type: Single-Acting (Spring Return) Scotch Yoke or Rack and Pinion pneumatic actuators, sized with a minimum safety factor of 1.3 to overcome differential pressure and steam seating torque.Fail Action: Fail Closed configuration. In the event of any unforeseen pressure loss in the instrument air network or a voltage drop at the Unipalma plant, the mechanical energy stored in the internal springs will force the steam passage to close completely.Mechanical Response Time: Each actuator will be equipped with a quick exhaust valve. This allows the air from the pneumatic chamber to be vented instantly, achieving a tight emergency shut-off in less than 2.0 seconds during a backpressure transient.Actuator Thermal Insulation: The valves will incorporate an Extended Bonnet. This design moves the packing gland and elastomeric seals of the actuator away from the high-temperature main flow (290°C - 340°C), dissipating heat through radiation and preventing premature degradation of the automation system.Emergency Manual Override: The actuators will include a declutchable manual handwheel with a locking lever. This accessory preserves geometry and operational capacity, allowing the operator to physically intervene on the 6" lines during cold starts or instrument maintenance lockouts.
