Overall dimensions: - Housing outer size: 52.3 mm width × 14 mm height × 12.8 mm depth - Wall thickness: 1.5–2 mm - Front bezel thickness: 1.5 mm - Internal clearance between housing and button: 0.3–0.5 mm Housing design: - Rectangular automotive-style bezel frame - Fixed mounting frame that installs into the trunk lid - Internal cavity for sliding button - Integrated guide rails on both sides - Rear area prepared for installation of a micro switch - Add mounting clips or locking tabs similar to OEM automotive parts - Rounded edges and smooth surfaces for injection-molded appearance Moving button: - Size approximately 47.8 mm width × 9.5 mm height × 8 mm depth - Slides inside the housing - Travel distance: 1.5–2 mm - Two side guide rails for alignment - Rear actuator stem to press a micro switch - Mechanical stop to prevent over-travel and switch damage - Slightly curved ergonomic front surface Spring mechanism: - Add a rear spring seat - Designed for a small compression spring from a pen - Spring cavity diameter approximately 5–6 mm - Alternative option: integrated flexible plastic return tab Micro switch compatibility: - Leave rear mounting space for a small automotive micro switch - Compatible with Omron D2F / D2FC style switches - Allow access for electrical wires Manufacturing requirements: - Designed for FDM 3D printing - Material: PETG or ABS - No supports if possible - Parts must print separately - Functional moving clearance for FDM printer tolerance - Optimized for a 0.4 mm nozzle printer (Elegoo Neptune 4) Design style: - OEM automotive replacement part - Clean minimal industrial design - Rounded corners - Strong mechanical construction - Real working assembly, not a decorative model Output: Create separate printable STL files: 1. trunk_button_housing.stl 2. trunk_button_moving_part.stl 3. spring_holder_or_return_mechanism.stl
