The prompt
Create a printable 3D CAD model for a PCB alignment jig based on a round board. Part purpose The jig should hold and align a 25.65 mm diameter round PCB using the board’s left-side alignment notch as the rotational key. The jig is for first-pass fit and probe access, so prioritize simple geometry, easy insertion, and accurate location. Core dimensions PCB outer diameter: 25.65 mm Locating pocket inner diameter: 25.90 mm Pocket depth: 1.20 mm Base footprint: 40.00 mm x 40.00 mm Base thickness: 4.00 mm Minimum wall thickness around pocket: 2.50 mm Pocket chamfer: 0.60 mm at 45° Notch clearance: 0.15 mm per side Alignment features Add a circular locating pocket centered on the part origin. Add a left-side anti-rotation notch key that matches the PCB notch and prevents rotational misalignment. Make the notch slightly oversized for easy insertion and removal. Use the notch as the primary alignment datum. Clearance features Add clearance openings or cutouts for tall components on the PCB. Leave 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm of extra clearance around tall parts where needed. Do not add material under areas that must remain accessible for probing or inspection. Keep the design simple and avoid unnecessary internal supports or cavities. Optional pogo-pin / probe area If probe access is needed, create pinhole locations only where explicitly specified by the source drawing. Do not invent pinhole positions. If exact pin centers are not provided, leave the probe area as an open cutout or placeholder region to be finalized later. Manufacturing intent The model should be 3D-printable on an FDM printer. Prefer smooth chamfers and fillets where they help insertion. Avoid fragile thin walls. Keep the geometry clean and easy to modify for a second revision. Output requested Generate: A single printable jig body With the circular pocket The notch key The base block Clearance cutouts for tall components Optional open area for probe access if exact pin geometry is unavailable Important constraint Do not guess or fabricate any exact pinhole coordinates unless they are explicitly provided in the source drawing. Only use known dimensions and verified geometry.
