The prompt
Create a realistic, manufacturable 3D CAD assembly of a Passive Dual-Axis Self-Leveling Platform using a Gravity Roller and Differential Cam Mechanism. Main structure - Fixed Base Frame: 550 × 450 × 70 mm, MS rectangular tube 30 × 30 × 3 mm - Top Platform: 500 × 400 × 10 mm - Two perpendicular gimbal axes: Pitch + Roll - Use Ø20 mm shafts and 6204 bearings - Leveling range: ±15° on both axes - Design load: 20 kg Gravity Roller Place one horizontal steel gravity roller at the exact centre below the platform. - Roller: Ø50 × 100 mm - Shaft: Ø20 mm - Add a concentrated 3–5 kg weight below/inside the roller so its centre of gravity stays below the roller axis. - The roller assembly must be free to move relative to the tilted base due to gravity. Differential Cam Mechanism Create two separate cam systems, perpendicular to each other: - Cam 1 = Pitch correction - Cam 2 = Roll correction - Cam diameter: Ø160 mm - Thickness: 12 mm - Bore: Ø20 mm - Base radius: 60 mm - Working radius: 60–80 mm - Use a smooth eccentric/non-circular cam profile Each cam must be mechanically connected to the gravity roller. Cam Follower + Linkage For each cam: - Roller follower: Ø25 × 12 mm - Follower shaft: Ø10 mm - Upper link: 180 mm centre-to-centre - Lower link: 160 mm centre-to-centre - Links: 25 × 8 mm - Link pins: Ø10 mm Use real revolute joints, bearings, shafts, spacers and brackets. No floating or disconnected parts. Critical working principle The mechanism MUST work in this exact sequence: Base tilts → gravity roller moves toward its lowest position → roller rotates/moves the differential cam → cam pushes the follower → follower moves the linkage → linkage rotates the corresponding gimbal axis in the OPPOSITE direction → top platform returns toward horizontal. Pitch cam controls front/back leveling and roll cam controls left/right leveling. CAD requirements Make all major components separate and assembly-ready. Show: 1. Complete isometric assembly 2. Front, side and top views 3. Bottom cutaway with the gravity roller, both cams, followers and linkages clearly visible 4. Cam-follower close-up 5. Section view through the centre 6. Exploded view 7. Motion positions at 0°, 10° and 15° base inclination The roller → cam → follower → linkage → gimbal → top platform connection must be physically obvious in the CAD model. Use realistic mechanical clearances and prevent interference. No motor, electronics, sensor, actuator, hydraulic or pneumatic components.
