Wall Thicknesses: This cavity leaves 1.5 mm thick outer side walls and a 2.0 mm solid floor separating the inside of the cavity from the top of the C-clip. 3. The Interlocking Hinge Joints Front Edge (Male Hinge): Protruding from the front outer edge of the rectangular tray is a single horizontal cylinder. Outer Diameter: 4.0 mm. Through-hole: A 2.0 mm hole passing perfectly through the center axis of the cylinder. Length: 4.6 mm long, centered exactly in the middle of the tray's front face. Back Edge (Female Hinge): Protruding from the back outer edge of the tray are two horizontal cylinders acting as the receiving hinge. Outer Diameter: 4.0 mm. Through-hole: A 2.0 mm hole passing through the center axis. Positioning: These two cylinders are located at the far left and far right corners of the back edge. Each cylinder is roughly 4.5 mm long, leaving a 5.5 mm wide open gap directly in the center to receive the male hinge of the next connected piece. 4. Alignment and Clearances The top of the C-clip merges cleanly into the bottom center of the 2.0 mm thick solid floor of the rectangular tray. The 4.0 mm hinge cylinders are aligned so that their center axes are flush with the bottom face of the rectangular tray, keeping the hinge mechanism low-profile.
