The prompt
Create a precision CAD model using a Python script. The script MUST define a top-level function named build(params). Design two functional involute spur gears: - Gear A: 80 teeth - Gear B: 35 teeth - Module: 1 mm - Pressure angle: 20 degrees - Thickness: 8 mm - Shaft bore: 8.3 mm - Center distance: 57.5 mm Both gears must mesh correctly. Generate separate solid gear bodies with accurate teeth and exportable STL geometry. Use millimeters.
Parameters
| Name | Value | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Module | 1 mm | 0.3 – 3 |
| Gear A tooth count | 80 mm | 10 – 120 |
| Gear B tooth count | 35 mm | 10 – 120 |
| Pressure angle | 20 deg | 14.5 – 25 |
| Shaft centre distance = module*(Na+Nb)/2 | 57.5 mm | 10 – 200 |
| Face width / thickness | 8 mm | 2 – 20 |
| Shaft bore diameter | 8.3 mm | 2 – 20 |
| Bore edge chamfer | 0.6 mm | 0 – 2 |
| Total circumferential backlash | 0.12 mm | 0 – 0.6 |
Every value above is a live dimension. Open a model like this in the editor and each one becomes a slider you can drag before exporting.
