The brace should be mounted vertically from the middle of the mounts and extend from the midpoints of each. The wall mount must be 5 inches long, while the shelf mount must be 6 inches long. There should be 3 screw holes in each of the mounts that are equal distances apart. The diameter of these holes should be 0.2 inches. Make sure to fillet the corners of both the mounts, and also fillet the area where they connect.
