The prompt
Design a wall-mounted wooden mail/letter organizer inspired by a fan/accordion shape, made from a single continuous piece of solid oak using kerf-bending technique. Overall structure: - One flat rectangular backing plate, vertically oriented, mounted flush against a wall (approx. 250mm height x 90mm width x 20mm thickness) - A single round wooden mounting peg/knob (approx. 25mm diameter, 15mm protrusion) fixed near the bottom-left of the backing plate, used as a wall hook point - From the top of the backing plate, a continuous kerf-bent wood panel folds outward and downward in 5 successive wedge-shaped (V-shaped) pockets, stacked diagonally from top to bottom, each pocket getting progressively larger and extending further forward - Each wedge pocket is formed by two angled wood faces meeting at a V-shaped fold line, creating open-top slots angled at roughly 30-40 degrees from vertical, tilted so contents (envelopes, cards, small notebooks) rest visibly inside and slightly overlap the pocket below it - The kerf cuts (thin parallel slots, spaced ~8-10mm apart) are visible on the inner fold curves of each pocket, running horizontal to the fold direction, allowing the solid wood to bend without breaking - Each pocket width matches the overall panel width (~90-100mm), and pocket depth (front-to-back projection) increases from top (shallowest, ~120mm) to bottom (deepest, ~180mm) - Material: solid oak, natural wood grain finish, warm honey-brown color, visible wood grain texture on all faces - Total assembled height: ~280mm, total width: ~110mm, max depth from wall: ~180mm - No visible screws, brackets, or metal hardware; joinery is achieved purely through the kerf-bent single-piece construction plus the single wooden mounting peg Output: parametric 3D CAD model (STEP/STL compatible), with pockets as separate bendable segments connected by kerf-cut fold zones, ready for dimension editing.
