The prompt
Design a compact mechanical footstep power generator for a B.Tech mechanical engineering project. Overall size: 600 × 400 × 180 mm. Top footstep plate: 450 × 300 × 8 mm, with 30 mm vertical downward movement. Use 4 guide rods (Ø16 mm) and 4 compression springs for returning the plate. Use a vertical rack connected to the footstep plate and a module-2, 20-tooth pinion on a Ø20 mm shaft. Use a simple gear speed-increasing stage to drive a small 12 V DC generator. Include: - steel base frame - footstep plate - guide rods and bushes - compression springs - rack and pinion - shaft - 2 bearings - speed-increasing gears - generator mounting bracket Keep the design compact, simple, manufacturable and suitable for a student project. Create separate components and a complete assembly. Export as STEP.
