The prompt
Design a hammer-mill-style grinding chamber that houses the shear-type blade rotor and reduces mixed wet crustacean shell waste to a controlled particle size, with wear-resistant, easily cleaned parts that suit small-scale fabrication. B. From the hammer mill chamber Cylindrical housing enclosing the rotor, with a hopper inlet at the top. Perforated screen around the rotor controlling the particle size, with discharge below it. Replaceable liners or breaker plates on the inner wall. Access door for inspection, cleaning, and blade changes, with bearings mounted outside the housing.Size reduction: reduce the shell to [__ mm] through the screen, by combined blade shear and impact. Rotor-chamber fit: size the housing from the rotor tip diameter, with set clearances between blade tip and screen of [set the design mm] and between blade tip and breaker or shear plate of [ set the design mm]. Screen design: choose the hole diameter, thickness, and arc coverage, with enough open area for wet shell to leave the chamber. A feed-mill guideline is about 120 cm² of total screen surface per kW of motor power. feedandadditive Inlet and discharge: make the hopper outlet fit the chamber inlet so feed is steady and does not back up, with the discharge feeding straight into the mixing and conveying screw. Capacity: handle the shell fraction (30% of the design throughput) of [20 kg/h]. Wear resistance: use replaceable carbide tips, replaceable liners and screen, and wear-resistant materials at all shell-contact surfaces. Anti-clogging: prevent packing of wet shell and sticky residue through smooth surfaces, rounded corners, and enough clearances. Sanitation and maintenance: use stainless steel surfaces, a hinged or removable door, and fast blade and screen replacement with common tools. Safety: enclose all rotating parts, add an interlocked door or guard, and keep the inlet shaped to prevent hand access. Fabricability: use locally available materials and standard shop processes. Energy: keep specific grinding energy (kWh/kg) within the selected motor’s rating.
