The prompt
Task description: HF1 / 1, bolted joint Title: Bolted joint with a hexagon-head-style socket screw and self-locking nut. Drawing number: HF1 / 1. Title block subject: "Csavarkötés" (bolted joint). Objective Produce an assembly drawing of a bolted joint. A hot-rolled flat steel bar (DIN 1017) is fastened to the flange of a hot-rolled channel (DIN 1026). The joint is shown in one view, preferably a sectional view through the bolt axis. The profile is large, so only the part above its horizontal axis of symmetry needs to be drawn. Given data Parameter Value Section UPN 220 (DIN 1026), hot-rolled channel UPN 220 geometry h = 220 mm, b = 80 mm, web s = 9 mm, flange t = 12.5 mm, inner flange slope 8% Flat steel DIN 1017, thickness 12 mm Screw Socket head cap screw, DIN 912 Nut Self-locking hexagon nut with plastic (nylon) insert, DIN 985 Washers Taper washer for channels, DIN 434. A plain washer on the screw-head side is optional. Requirements Take the dimensions of the fasteners from standard tables, manufacturer websites or CAD databases. Place the hole in the UPN flange according to DIN 997 (gauge line for the flange of a channel). The nut sits on the sloped inner flange surface. Fit the DIN 434 taper washer under it, so the nut seats flat and the screw is not bent. Draw the joint in one view only, and hatch the cut parts according to the drawing standards. The screw, nut and washers are not hatched in a longitudinal section. Include the bill of materials (parts list), with an item number for each part and the standard designation of each fastener. Fill in the title block: Subject = Csavarkötés (bolted joint), Drawing number = HF1 / 1. Design values (from my selection and the course notes) Screw size: M16, the maximum screw size listed for UPN 220. The matching hole is Ø18 mm (the course notes use Ø18 for M16), or Ø17.5 mm in the medium series. Hole position: 40 to 51 mm from the web, in the DIN 997 range for UPN 220. A value around 46 mm is reasonable. Screw length: the clamped thickness is 12 + 12.5 + about 4.6 (taper washer) + about 3 (plain washer) mm. The nut height is about 16 mm and the thread should protrude by about two pitches. This gives about 52 mm, so use the standard M16 × 55 DIN 912. Designations for the parts list: UPN 220 – DIN 1026 Flat bar 12 × [width] – DIN 1017 Socket head cap screw DIN 912 – M16 × 55 Self-locking nut DIN 985 – M16 Taper washer DIN 434 – 17.5 Plain washer (optional) The standard dimensions are from memory and typical values, so check them against the standard tables before using them in the drawing. The flat bar width, flat bar length and drawn UPN length are not given in the task. Choose them yourself, for example 60 mm wide, with an edge distance of at least about 2d (about 32 mm).
