The prompt
Create a 3D CAD assembly of a BMW E34 (5 Series, 1988–1996) vehicle package study, organized as separate components on individual layers, for drivetrain packaging comparison (ICE vs. EV conversion). Global setup: - Units: millimeters - Coordinate system: origin at front axle centerline, ground plane, X = vehicle length (rear to front), Y = vehicle width (centered), Z = height - Overall vehicle envelope: length 4720 mm, width 1751 mm, height 1412 mm, wheelbase 2761 mm Generate the following as separate solid bodies, each on its own named layer, positioned in the vehicle coordinate system as simplified bounding volumes (boxes/cylinders — no internal detail needed): 1. BODY_SHELL — simplified exterior shell envelope (sedan body outline) as a reference/wireframe only, semi-transparent 2. ENGINE_ICE — placeholder block for the original inline engine (M20/M30/M50/M60 family, straight-6), positioned in the front engine bay, longitudinal orientation, approx. 700 x 600 x 650 mm 3. TRANSMISSION — gearbox block mounted directly behind engine position, approx. 500 x 400 x 400 mm 4. FRONT_AXLE — front suspension/subframe envelope at front axle position 5. REAR_AXLE — rear suspension/differential envelope at rear axle position 6. FUEL_TANK — rear-mounted tank envelope (for reference, to be replaced by battery in EV version) 7. EXHAUST — simplified centerline path from engine to rear Also generate an alternate EV configuration set on separate layers: 8. MOTOR_EV — electric motor placeholder, mounted at front engine bay position, dimensions to be parameterized (leave as adjustable box, default 300 x 300 x 400 mm) 9. BATTERY_PACK — placeholder volume for traction battery, positioned in the underbody/rear area, dimensions to be parameterized (default 1800 x 1200 x 200 mm) Requirements: - Each component must be a separate, named, moveable solid (not fused/unioned) - Use distinct layer names exactly as listed above (e.g. "ENGINE_ICE", "MOTOR_EV") so they can be toggled independently - Export as DXF (or STEP if available) compatible with AutoCAD import - Keep geometry as simplified bounding-box/primitive volumes — no surface detail, ribs, or fasteners needed - Include a text label at each component's origin point stating the component name Goal: a lightweight packaging assembly to visually and dimensionally compare ICE and EV drivetrain component placement within the real BMW E34 chassis envelope.
