The prompt
The goal is to make a camera cover disguised as a birdhouse that can fit on top of a standard fence post which holds the camera. The birdhouse should be aesthetically pleasing to look with a functional roof to reduce water falling on to the camera. There does not need to be a bottom or interior space, the 3d print can just do a low infill to the structure. It only needs to look like a birdhouse from a distance, not function as one. This should be printed in two pieces, one for the roof and another for the body (walls). There should be holes on the bottom of the roof aligning to holes on the top of the body. We should be able to place pegs in these holds to snuggly connect the two pieces. From the top view, make the roof as square as possible. Understandably the walls won’t be perfectly square as the sides have two overhangs to match the front overhang but the back should have no overhang. [Dimensions] - Fence post is standard 4x4 (actual dimensions closer to 3.5 inch by 3.5 inch). - Camera could be considered a cylinder attached perpendicular to the fence post, with the flat bottom mounted to the fence post front, the top edge 3.5 inches from the top of the fence post. The dimensions of the camera cylinder is a diameter of 3.5 inches and height of 6 inches. - Electrical box on the back side of the post, with the top edge 4 inches from the top of the fence post. The electric box is 3.5 inches wide and depth and height will extend beyond the dimensions of the enclosure, so just leave a cutout in the back of the enclosure for it. - Maximum dimensions of the enclosure roof would be 250mm by 250mm by 250mm (For print area, not proposed size) - Maximum dimensions of the enclosure body (walls) would also be 250mm by 250mm by 250mm (For print area, not proposed size) [Placement] Since the front of the camera (top of the cylinder object) should be aligned with the front wall. The back wall should be aligned with back of the fencepost, with a small screw hole to attach the back wall to the fence post. The roof should slight overhang in the front, no decoration or overhang is necessary in the back. The top of the post can go slightly into the roof in order to bring the roof edge closer to the top of the camera. The body should also have an inner structure to fit tighter onto the post. [Style] The roof should be sloped with 3 slops in total, the sides will slope up to a peak, and the front will slope up (a hip) to meet the gable roof about halfway up. The back has no slope, only a gable. The side and front edges will slightly curve up with Chinese style front corners. As the back if not decorative, it is just flat. Use tubular tile pattern common in ancient Chinese roofs.
