The prompt
Five printable STLs + the SketchUp file above. Quick assembly notes: Dovetail joint specs (consistent across all three side joints): 6mm root × 8mm tip × 3mm protrusion, 0.1mm clearance per side. Slide the side piece's tongue into the deck's groove along Y. The grooves run the full deck length so the tongue can enter from either Y end. Battery box cavity: 60 × 96 × 33mm (clearance over the 60×94×32 battery). Lid pocket is recessed 3mm with 0.3mm clearance. Four latch catches at Z=30.5–32.5 inside the long walls — the lid's four hanging tabs (2mm thick, 8mm wide, 5mm drop with 1.4mm outward barbs) flex inward as you press the lid down and snap into the catches. Back stand: tab on its bottom is 29.6 × 5.6 × 11.5mm (0.2mm slip-fit on each side), dropping into the matching 30 × 6 × 12mm slot in the deck's underside, centered on X=0 and 10mm in from the back edge. Assembly order: print all five → slide the left side piece's tongue into the deck's left groove from one Y end → slide the battery box's tongue into the deck's right groove → drop the back stand's tab into the deck slot from below → insert battery and snap the lid on. A few things worth flagging: The back stand tab location is my best guess. Your assembled 3MF shows a small slot in the deck top view but doesn't tell me whether the back stand was meant to be glued, screwed, slot-mounted from below, or pinned. I placed the slot at X=0, 10mm in from the back edge of the deck. If the actual mounting point in your original design is different, the deck slot and back stand tab dimensions are easy to relocate — just say where. The original side pieces had a 3–10mm overlap with the deck (left side: 10mm, right side: 3mm). I trimmed the deck's outer strips at the mating planes (X = ±121.59 / 110.76) so the parts don't interfere. The deck's overall footprint shrank from 245×153 to 232×153mm. If the lost 13mm contained critical features I can't see (mounting points outside the visible Pi pocket and vent slots), let me know and I'll redesign with a different mating strategy. The dovetail grooves run the full deck length. This means the side pieces slide on from one Y end — there's no positive stop. The fit relies on tight tolerance (0.1mm) plus the dovetail's natural pull-out resistance. If you want a true mechanical lock instead of friction fit, I can add a snap detent or a small locking pin in a revision.
