Overall Layout and Dimensions: - Grid: 4 columns (Width axis) x 4 rows (Height axis), creating exactly 16 individual compartments. - Clear internal dimensions of each individual compartment: 300mm wide (Left-to-Right) and 300mm high (Bottom-to-Top). - The entire main box structure has a depth of 300mm from Back-to-Front. - Elevation: The two outer structural vertical sides (Left and Right walls) must extend straight down to the ground by an additional 300mm to serve as integrated legs. Add continuous horizontal support beams at the bottom between the legs for stability. Main Continuous Components & Slope (CRITICAL FOR ROTATION): - The 2 outer vertical side walls (Left and Right) are solid, continuous single-piece plywood sheets. - The 5 main horizontal floors/shelves are solid, continuous single-piece plywood sheets spanning the entire width from Left to Right. - DIRECTION OF SLOPE: All 5 main horizontal shelves must be tilted along the depth axis only. The BACK edge of each shelf must be higher than the FRONT edge, creating a strict 6-degree downward slope from BACK-to-FRONT. There must be ZERO slope from Left-to-Right. Front Tray Extension and Protective Lid: - Tray Extension: All 5 main horizontal shelves must protrude outwards beyond the FRONT of the main boxes by an additional 150mm to form an integrated egg-catching tray at the front. - Front Lip: At the very front edge of this 150mm extension, add an 80mm high continuous horizontal front lip (bumper) spanning the entire width to catch the rolling eggs. - Sloped Protective Lid (Cover): Design a long, narrow 10mm plywood cover that fully encloses the top of the 150mm front protruding tray. The lid must be attached to the front of the boxes using a top-mounted piano hinge interface, opening upwards towards the nests. In its closed position, this lid must slope sharply downwards towards the 80mm front lip to prevent chickens from roosting on it. Internal Dividers and Joinery Style: - Internal vertical dividers are individual, smaller 300mm x 300mm panels placed inside between the main sloped shelves to separate the 4 columns. - Joinery: Use through-mortise-and-tenon tabs. The continuous horizontal shelves must feature extended tenon tabs that pass completely through matching mortise slots cut into the outer Left and Right vertical walls, visible from the outside. Internal vertical dividers must lock into the sloped horizontal shelves using the same tab system.
