Avoid extremely narrow details, vertical cliffs, and tiny features. Design the relief for practical CNC machining in hardwood using a small ball-nose end mill for finishing. The finished model should be one continuous solid panel with a flat bottom, flat perimeter border, recessed carved background, and raised sculptural ornamental relief. It should resemble a hand-carved decorative wooden box lid rather than a perforated grille, engraving, or simple embossed pattern.
