The prompt
make a Part A: Flange A — Driving (slotted flange) Step 1 — Hub New Part: File → New → Part → OK. Set units to MMGS. Sketch on Front Plane: draw a circle centred at the origin, diameter ⌀60. Extrude: Features → Extruded Boss/Base, Blind, depth 30 mm. Step 2 — Flange plate Select the front face of the hub → Sketch. Draw a circle ⌀90 concentric with the origin. Extrude: Blind, depth 20 mm. Total length of the flange is now 50 mm. Step 3 — Bore Select the back face of the hub → Sketch. Draw a circle ⌀30 at the origin. Extruded Cut: Blind, depth 40 mm. The bore stops flush with the floor of the slot cut in Step 5. Step 4 — Keyway in the hub Sketch on the back face of the hub a rectangle 8 mm wide straddling the vertical centre line, extending 3.3 mm radially outside the ⌀30 bore. Extruded Cut: Blind, depth 38 mm. Step 5 — Slot in the flange face Select the front face of the flange plate → Sketch. Draw a rectangle 15 mm wide, symmetric about the vertical centre line, and long enough to run clear across the ⌀90 face (use a Symmetric relation to the vertical centre line so it stays centred). Extruded Cut: Blind, depth 10 mm. The slot now runs right across the face. Step 6 — Finishing features Chamfer 1 mm × 45° at the bore mouth and on the outer edge of the hub. Fillet R2 at the junction of hub and plate (optional, improves the fillet radius at the stress raiser). Model it once: the slot is cut vertically here purely as a modelling convention. The required 90° relationship between the two flanges is created in the assembly by rotating the second flange, not by modelling a second, different part.
