The prompt
CAD Design Prompt – Dr. Robo Smart Medicine Dispenser Design a professional, modern 3D printable enclosure for an Arduino-based Smart Medicine Dispenser called Dr. Robo. Overall Design The enclosure should look like a small pigeonhole organizer (cubby box) with an electronic control panel on the top and medicine compartments below. The appearance should be clean, modern, and suitable for a university science exhibition. Top Control Panel The upper section contains: LCD One 20×4 I2C LCD. Visible LCD window centered horizontally. LCD PCB size: 90 mm × 35 mm. Provide mounting holes and support pillars. Leave space behind the LCD for wiring. Keypad Below the LCD, provide a cutout for a 4×4 membrane keypad. Dimensions: 75 mm × 70 mm The keypad should sit flush with the front panel with a small supporting lip underneath. Leave cable routing space behind the keypad. Medicine Compartments Below the electronics section, create 12 equal compartments arranged as: 3 rows × 4 columns Each compartment dimensions: 2.5 inches × 5 inches (inside dimensions) Each compartment should resemble a pigeonhole/cubby. All compartments should be open from the front. Provide thin dividers between compartments. Internal Electronics Space Behind the LCD and keypad, create an electronics compartment large enough to fit: Arduino Uno Jumper wires Breadboard or PCB Future relay modules Provide: Cable channels Wire management openings Mounting pillars Screw holes for the Arduino Uno Lid Provide a hinged top lid. Requirements: Rear hinge Opens approximately 110° Easy to print Strong hinge geometry Space for a latch or magnetic closure Wall Thickness Outer walls: 3 mm Internal dividers: 2 mm Bottom: 3 mm Lid: 3 mm Corners Use rounded corners. Corner radius: 8 mm Mounting Features Include: LCD mounting posts Arduino Uno mounting posts Cable routing holes Screw holes Support ribs where necessary Printing Requirements Design specifically for FDM 3D printing. Requirements: No impossible overhangs Minimal supports Strong structure Clean printable geometry Style The enclosure should look like a commercial medical device rather than a school project. Use smooth surfaces, rounded edges, and a clean industrial design. Deliverables Produce: Editable CAD model STL files STEP file Separate lid Separate main body Exploded assembly view Dimensioned drawing Arduino mounting layout The final design should look like a premium tabletop medicine dispenser with a control panel on top and twelve pigeonhole-style medicine compartments underneath.
