The prompt
Create a simple, dimensionally accurate, 3D-printable blanking plate for a rectangular cable-entry opening in a network cabinet. Opening dimensions: 160 mm wide 98 mm deep Create a flat rectangular top plate measuring: 190 mm wide 128 mm deep 2.5 mm thick This gives a 15 mm flange around all four sides of the opening. On the underside of the top plate, add a shallow rectangular locating collar that fits inside the 160 mm × 98 mm opening. Locating collar dimensions: Outside width: 159.4 mm Outside depth: 97.4 mm Height: 5 mm Wall thickness: 2 mm This provides approximately 0.3 mm clearance on each side. Add one rectangular gap in each of the two short sides of the locating collar. For each gap: - Centre the gap along the short side. - Make the gap 26 mm wide. - Extend the gap from the underside of the top plate to the bottom edge of the locating collar. - Leave the top plate intact above the gap. - Do not add any clip, tab, bridge, projection or other feature inside the gap. The finished model must therefore have: - A complete 190 mm × 128 mm top plate. - A rectangular locating collar underneath. - Two opposite 26 mm-wide gaps, one centred in each short side of the locating collar. Leave the underside of the 15 mm outer flange flat so that thin closed-cell foam or rubber sealing tape can be fitted between the plate and the cabinet. Use slightly rounded external corners with a 3 mm radius. Add a small chamfer to the lower outside edge of the locating collar to make insertion easier. Keep the design simple, symmetrical and suitable for FDM printing.
